Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Fixed Income & Macro, Event & Multi-Asset RV, Equity L/S & Capital Markets, and Quantitative Trading.

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join a L/S Equity Financials (FinTech) team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, equity research and/or public equities, with a strong academic background and a proven track record of excellence.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis on FinTech companies. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors impacting the sector.
  • Support portfolio manager in portfolio construction and risk management.
  • Participate in meetings with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts.
  • Continuously update and improve investment theses based on new information and market developments.

 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, focused on FinTech within investment banking, equity research, and/or public equities.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial statements, modeling, and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with AI tools, or eagerness to build fluency.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 (USD). In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as geographic location, work experience, qualifications, and skill level.
